Abstract:
(Critical) This program illustrates the differential diagnoses of forefoot and pain and discusses operative and briefly, non-operative forms of therapy. The title does not accurately convey the content, as diverse conditions resulting in forefoot pain are considered, rather than only metatarsalgia. Excellent illustrations depict the pathology and therapy of the various cases. An interesting discussion of surgical management overshadows vague, poorly described conservative measures. Insufficient detail and inconsistent pacing necessitate pre-familiarity with the topic for comprehension. The program is recommended with reservations for use.
