Abstract:
(Critical) In this program a step by step method of initiation of intravenous therapy using scalp vein needles inside and outside the catheter needles, better maintenance of I.V. fluids and proper termination of I.V. therapy are discussed.Possible problems with I.V. therapy are also aired and the importance of explaining the procedure to the patient and of documentation is emphasized. Excellent use is made of various media with useful content review and post-test. The program is recommended highly to all those who want to become familiar with the parctice of I.V. therapy.
