Abstract:
This 1976 program depicts the surgical technique of a flexor tendon graft. It begins with Dr. Joseph H. Boyes explaining the parts of the hand where this procedure takes place, the injuries that make it necessary, and what is achieved through surgery. This is followed by footage of an operation of a tendon graft into a finger by Dr. Herbert Stark, which Dr. Boyes narrates. Afterwards, Dr. Boyes explains the post-operative care that will be needed. and (Critical) This program describes the surgical technique of flexor tendon grafting in a logical, complete, step-wise manner. The presentation is well done, consistent and meet its stated objectives. Thus, this program is highly recommended for orthopedic and plastic surgeons.
