Abstract:
(Critical) This program presents the surgical technique of the abdominal perineal pull through for imperforate anus. Although this surgical technique has been replaced by the more recent sacral abdominal or sacral abdominal perineal approach, there are modifications of the abdominal perineal approach that pay attention to the use of very specific technical maneuvers which may be helpful. Thus, the program is recommended with reservations as a supplemental educational aid forgeneral surgeons.
