Abstract:
(Critical) This program illustrates and describes the application of a low profile halo body cast. The indications for the procedure are given and then the techniques of placing the patient on the Risser table for application of the cast, the proper padding, molding and application of the cast, and the incorporation of the halo device attached to the head and the cast are illustrated. The material is current and presented consistently, and is well organized. Thus, the program is highly recommended for orthopedics surgeons.
