Abstract:
(Critical) This program presents an effective way to introduce a recall system in a dental practice by supplying information on the rationale, materials, and methodology needed to establish such a system, which provides continual opportunity for the evaluation of all aspects of the patient's oral health, reinforcement of patient education and motivation, and provision of preventive services resulting in a reduction of the total amount of dental services and the need for emergency treatment. The program achieves its intended purposes quite well, and the presentation is logically organized and easily understood. Therefore, it is recommended for dental students and dental assistants.
