Organ perfusion is the passage of fluid through the circulatory system or the lymphatic system to an organ or a tissue. This brief program includes several examples of different machines that can help achieve this, as well as the benefits and drawbacks of each. Examples of different organs are also shown as before/after photos to demonstrate the difference that organ perfusion can make. Plasma donors for organ perfusion are strongly encouraged to screen for certain antibodies to ensure the safety of the patients in question.
