Abstract:
(Critical) This program presents the basics for the management of diabetic ketoacidis diagnosis. The use of oxygen, insulin, volume replacement, bicarbonate, nasogastric intubation, CVP monitoring and Foley catheterization are discussed. Potassium physiology is also emphasized. The presentation is well done and meets its objectives. Thus, this program is recommended for students and practitioners of internal medicine.
