In this presentation, recorded at the 24th Annual Armed Forces Seminar on Obstetrics and Gynecology in October 1975, Dr. John J. Mikuta reviews points brought up by earlier speakers at the seminar and gives his own perspective on these topics. These include cytology and its clinical application in the management of a patient, the use of colposcopy, and the use of lasers on lesions. Dr. Mikuta then reviews the pathogenesis of cervical cancer and discusses various methods of detecting abnormalities and treating them. A slideshow of charts and photographs of patients accompanies the lecture.
