Abstract:
This is a general overview on maintaining a patient's quality of life during a hospital stay for joint replacement surgery. During the surgery, it is wise to limit the number of people in the room and to take measures to keep the environment as sanitary as possible. Meticulous attention to detail can mean the difference between life and death. Saving lives is no longer the only prerogative of a doctor; medicine has begun to acknowledge the importance of overall quality of life, a trend that likely will continue to develop.
