- Abstract:
- Color postcard of two women assisting a wounded soldier. The woman on the right is wearing a pink dress and is barefoot. She is supporting the solider who leans against her body; the other, wearing a purple dress, is bandaging his right leg. There is another soldier sitting behind them with a white head bandage. The soldiers are wearing blue jackets with red scarves and white trousers. A third woman, wearing a long blue dress stands behind them. She is holding a brown water jug and looking towards her right. A third soldier lies in front. He is on his side, only his torso and legs are shown. He is wearing brown trousers and boots. They appear to be in a field of grass; part of a cannon is shown behind them. At top of the illustration there is a square white banner with a red cross in the center across the top, wind-blown from behind, with the text "Cruz Roja Nacional" ("National Red Cross"). There is a 1 peso Argentina stamp on the card. It has the same white banner with the red cross as shown in the illustration, with the addition of a narrow blue and white banner along the bottom. The text reads: Campaña de educación, Sanitaria cruz roja.(Education campaign, Red Cross Health). Next to the stamp is the imprint of the cancellation, Buenos Aires, Argentina, 3 Oct 59, dia de emision. There is a picture of a curved bugle horn above the date.
