Abstract:
At a Glance.(1) In September 2017, nearly one-quarter of adults in the Marketplace target population reported difficulty paying family health insurance premiums in the past year. (2) Several proposals to reduce nongroup market premiums have strong support, including provider reimbursement limits, reinsurance funding, and enhanced premium subsidies. (3) Within the Marketplace target population, support for these proposals was greatest among adults with Marketplace coverage. (4) However, efforts to stabilize premiums may not be enough to offset the impact of repealing the individual mandate.
