Abstract:
This black and white photographic postcard shows nurses assisting with a blood transfusion. The two nurses wear dark, short-sleeved uniforms with white aprons and caps. One stands at the head of the table with her hands on the patient's head. The other looks over the shoulder of the nurse or doctor performing the transfusion. That person is seated, wearing a white uniform, cap and mask and looking down at the patient. A bottle holding the blood is suspended from a support at the head of the table. There is a large window in the background and a shelf with several bottles.
