Abstract:
Postcard of Merriam's Pharmacy in Springfield, Massachusetts. Card features a yellowing black and white photo reproduction of the inside of the drugstore. On the left is a soda bar, a teenage boy in a dark suit behind it. On the bar is a row of decorative mugs, with small palm trees all around the store. On the left wall are shelves full of bottles and boxes, a man in a bowtie leaning on the glass display counter in front of it. In the middle of the room is display case, another man in a white jacket leaning on it. On the right are more glass display counters, a young man in a dark suit leaning on it. Against the right wall are cabinets, more shelved bottles on the back wall. Two chairs are in the back corners, a clock on the back wall. Some posters above the shelves around the store say things like "Hindoo corn cure ... 15c" and "Patent medicines."
