Abstract:
Advertisement for Scott's Emulsion, cod liver oil. Card features a black and white photo reproduction of a young man and a military dogcart. The man is wearing the Belgian artillery uniform from World War I, which has a dark hat, long coat, and boots. He is holding the handle above the two dogs hooked up to the dogcart. The dogs have dark fur, reaching about the soldier's hip height, muzzled and harnessed to the two-wheeled cart behind them. The cart is carrying a Lewis gun, a WWI-era light machine gun, and in the background is a tall wall and bare trees. In the top left corner in a white oval is an illustration of the Scott's Emulsion logo of a fisherman carrying a large cod on his back.
