Abstract:
Advertisement of McLaughlin's XXXX Coffee. Card features a color illustration of six children playing doctor and two women watching. The leftmost girl has on a white bonnet and is sitting in a red armchair with her feet up. Holding her left arm as if taking her pulse is a boy in blue. Sitting on the green-patterned floor is a boy in brown and a blonde girl pretending to make medicine. Behind the four children is an empty fireplace with a mirror and paintings above it on a blue wall. To the right and farther back are two girls in brown, one standing on a chair, by a cabinet pretending to make medicine. Behind all the children on the right, through an open doorway, are two women standing outside looking in.
