Abstract:
Advertisement for Grains de Vals, a cure for constipation and its symptoms, manufactured by Laboratoires Nogues. Card features a color illustration of Pierrot, from a French folk song of the 18th century. The arms of Pierrot can be cut out and inserted into the body of him wearing a white costume with white ruffle collar. The letters A-D are printed on the arms and the white strip on the right, where the corresponding letters on these images may be inserted. Behind him is a yellow full moon in the starry sky and some houses. A large bottle of Grains de Vals appears on the right. On the back of the card is dark blue text explaining Grains de Vals, and assembly instructions for the front image.
