Abstract:
Advertisement for Cascarets, laxative tablets. Card features a color illustration depicting the interior of a pullman. A young woman in an upper berth reveals her face from between red curtains to smile at a young man in a lower berth. From between the curtains of his berth, the young man smiles and asks an African-American porter, "Say, porter, is the road clear?" "Yassah," the porter laughingly replies, "and the train's on time." The verso advertises Cascarets with a black & white illustration of a hand placing a small Cascarets tin in a suitcase.
