- Abstract:
- Advertisement for Phosphatine Falières. Card features a color illustration of an art nouveau style woman and two statues. To the right and left of the center image is a poem by Maurice Vaucaire. In the middle of the poem is the Hindu goddess Sita from Thailand and Cambodia. The woman is tanned, with her black hair covered by a large golden headdress. She is standing facing us, holding in her right hand a sprig with oranges, and behind her is an oval brown stand. Her top is not covered, only with jewelry, and is wearing a red skirt. Next to her are two incense burners, some oranges, and two singha (guardian lion dog) statues. Around the woman and poem is a border of tan pillars with oranges at the bottom, and a yellow and green decorated top with flowers, clouds, and two people. On the back of the card is a border made of pumpkin vines and flowers, two pumpkins in the bottom left corner. Above the pumpkins stands a little girl with dark hair looking into a jar. Next to her is a small dark dog. All verso text and images in dark red coloring.
