Besides his hospital appointments during World War I, Osler helped educate the public and the military about the dangers of disease in wartime. In this pamphlet, taken from one of his addresses to British troops, he talked about the perils of dysentery, pneumonia, and typhoid fever (enteric), and urged his listeners to get vaccinated against typhoid.
