Abstract:
This study was a rebuttal of Huang and Veech's 1984 paper, which questioned the role of glucose-6-phosphatase in the brain, and which was used to argue against the validity of the deoxyglucose method for measuring local utilization of glucose in human and animal brains. The controversy wasn't really resolved until 1988-89.
