Abstract:
Advertisement for Salmon Pastilles. Card features a color illustration of the Battle of Tolbiac in 496, between the Alemnni and the Franks, commanded by Clovis I. It depicts Clovis I on a horse invoking Jesus Christ for the victory. He is dressed mostly in blue with a red cape and has his arms up in the sky. The numerous Alemnni are being attacked and chased by the Franks on the field.
