Abstract:
Advertisement for Sirop Deschiens (Deschiens' Syrup of hemoglobin). Card features a color illustration of a famous painting by Horace Vernet. It shows a scene of the Battle of Fontenoy, May 11, 1745, in which the French Commander Maurice de Saxe, presenting a captured British flag to Louis XV and the Dauphin. They are surrounded by many wounded soldiers in the field.
