Abstract:
Advertisement for Algao pain-relief powder. Card features a color illustration of two men in a street with a Dogue de Bordeaux. The man nearest to the dog is carrying on his head a fully-laden basket, steadying it with his right hand while gesturing toward the dog with his left. He is wearing a white shirt, white trousers with blue stripes, and a red neckerchief. The other man, wearing a large white apron, is looking down at the dog and fixing up a pipe to smoke. In the background several buildings and trees can be seen, as well as two women further down the street.
