Abstract:
Advertisement for Eau des Carmes Boyer, an alcoholic extract of lemon balm and other herbs. Card features a color illustration of two male hunters in a forest, wearing 18th-century hunting outfits with long brown boots. One of the men is seated, with his hat and gun lying on the ground nearby. A white cloth with food and dishes is spread next to him. The man is gesturing to the food and looking up at the other man, who is standing just behind, gripping his rifle with his left hand and with his right holding a dead rabbit from its hind legs. A large white sheet hangs just behind the men, obscuring most of the background. The whole illustration is surrounded by a gold border.
