Abstract:
Advertisement for Fer Bravais concentrated iron drops, developed by French chemist Raoul Bravais. Card features a color illustration of a boy sitting in a field, holding a paper pad or canvas on his knees as he paints the portrait of a young farm girl beside him. The boy is wearing upper-class 18th century clothing, with a white powdered wig, a long yellow jacket, and white breeches with yellow stockings. His hat is on the grass next to him. The girl is wearing a red blouse and a green skirt. She has one hand around a bushel of wheat on her shoulders and the other resting on her hip. A gold decorative border surrounds the entire illustration.
