Abstract:
Advertisement for powders for the treatment of epilepsy and anxiety manufactured by the Clodoveo Cassarini Chemical Pharmaceutical Establishment of Bologna. Card features a color illustration of a boat hauling mail down a river on the Deccan Plateau in India. The boat has four men: three are rowing in the bow and one man is standing on the stern and steering with a long paddle. All four men are wearing straw conical hats and sarongs of various colors. In the upper right corner of the card is a triangular flag with a green crescent on a red field, and in the bottom left corner a reproduction of an Indian postage stamp.
