Abstract:
This color postcard shows a factory in Rethel, northern France, that has been converted into a German field hospital. The foreground shows rows of hospital beds with wounded soldiers. All are dressed in white with white linens. Doctors, nurses and other hospital staff are also shown. The factory infrastructure can be seen, including posts and ductwork, but the hospital has also been decorated with plants.
