Abstract:
This is a black and white photographic postcard of German nurses at the Cologne train station waving to a trainload of German soldiers returning from France. Most of the nurses wear long white dresses and dark head coverings, but a few wear dark dresses. They are waving handkerchiefs at the soldiers who are hanging out of the windows of the stopped train car. A sign on the car reads "Kriegsheimatstation Kalk-Nord."
