Abstract:
Advertisement for Lecithin Clin. Card features a color illustration of the execution of Marshal Michel Ney on December 7, 1815. A man dressed all in black is shown lying face down on the pavement. A pool of blood is around him and a top hat is tipped over on the ground nearby. A French soldier with a rifle is looking back at the dead body as he walks away from the scene. An assembly of more soldiers can be seen in the distance. Below this main illustration is a depiction of both sides of a silver 1822 five-franc coin, which has the profile of Louis XVIII on the obverse and a coat of arms on the reverse.
