Abstract:
Advertisement for Berlingots-Eysséric, manufactured by Gustave Eysséric, a confectioner. Card features a color illustration that is divided into two halves by the title. The top half of the illustration shows a miner in an underground mine. He is wearing a helmet and swinging a pick above his head toward a stone at his feet. A mining cart is behind him in the background. In the bottom half, two blacksmiths wearing leather aprons are forging a red-hot piece of iron on an anvil. One of the men is holding the iron with a pair of blacksmithing tongs. The other man is leaning forward, swinging a large hammer toward the anvil. A furnace with an open fire, a wooden tub filled with water, and a pair of bellows can be seen in the background.
