Abstract:
Advertisement for Sirop Deschiens (Deschiens' Syrup of hemoglobin). Card features a color illustration of a painting by Jean Baptiste Mauzaisse. It shows a scene from the Battle of Fleurus (June 26, 1794), French troops led by General Jourdan beating back the Austrian army during the French Revolutionary Wars. Jourdan is on a white horse and has a sword in his right hand in the middle of the battle field.
