- This color tinted postcard depicts a nurse tending to a wounded soldier on the battlefield. His white horse stands next to them. The nurse is seated on what appears to be rock, with the soldier's bandaged head in her lap. She is wearing a long white uniform and veil. On her right arm is an armband with a red cross. The solder lays on the ground, propping himself up with his right hand. He wears blue pants and an open blue jacket with a white shirt underneath. His horse, with its head lowered, has a blue blanket and red harness with stirrups. An overturned cart is behind them. The ground and background are dark and foreboding, with traces of blue and red in the clouds.
