In this color photographic postcard, a nurse kneels in prayer while next to her a wounded French soldier chokes a German soldier. The nurse, who also appears to be a nun, is wearing a long black habit with white scapular and cornette, and black cincture. A white armband on her left arm has a red cross. She is kneeling calmly, her hands clasped, looking slightly upward. In front of her on the ground is the French soldier's rifle. The French soldier is standing next to the nurse. He is wearing a blue jacket, red pants, and black boots. He has a bandage around his head. His hands are around the neck of a German soldier who is kneeling on the ground. The German soldier wears a dark jacket, light blue pants and a gold, spiked helmet. He is clasping the wrists of the French solder who is strangling him. His gun lies on the ground next to him. There a rocky backgound behind the soldiers and nurse.
