Abstract:
Advertisement for Alcool de Menthe de Ricqlès. Card features a color illustration of French soldiers at most likely a shore of Madagascar. A soldier in a white shirt and trousers is pointing to packages of Ricqlès in a canoe to the left and is talking to another soldier, who is in a sailor shirt and dark trousers. Native black men are carrying packages on their heads and walking in the ocean from a ship that is near the shore. There is an inset of an illustration of a bottle of Alcool de Menthe de Ricqlès at the bottom. On the back are illustrations of 14 medals from different Exposition Universelle.
