Abstract:
Advertisement for Thaolaxine, a laxative. Card features a color illustration of a scene from a French comedy, "Le Malade imaginaire" (The Imaginary Invalid) written by Molière. Toinette, Argan's maid is telling Argan, a hypochondriac, to take Thaolaxin. Argan is dressed in a yellow robe and carrying a cane and looks surprised. The maid is holding a box of Thaolaxine. There is a table between them and a little girl is sitting behind Argan.
