Abstract:
Dr. Steven Petersen, Associate Professor and Acting Director of Neurology and Neurological Surgery at the Washington University School of Medicine, explains how new brain imaging techniques have allowed scientists to pinpoint areas of language functions, specifically brain areas that are related to the reading and comprehension of single words. This is one of four lectures focusing on language and the brain.
