This is a color photographic postcard of a nurse and wounded soldier on the battlefield. The solder is lying on his side, propped up on is right arm. He wears a blue uniform, with a knapsack and bedroll on his back. His gun with bayonette lies on the ground next to him. He is looking up at a nurse who is kneeling and has her arms around him to assist him. She is wearing a long, full blue dress, cinched at the waist with a beaded belt. She also wears a white cornette on her head and a white armband with a red cross on her left arm. Red flowers are scattered on the ground. At the top of the card, above the nurse and soldier, is a black and white battle scene.
