Abstract:
In this black and white postcard, Wilhelm II of Württemburg meets with a group of Red Cross nurses somewhere near Verdun. The battle was fought there between February and December, 1916. The nurses wear ankle-length dark dresses, with long white aprons, and white caps. Wilhelm II is in military dress with hat and walking stick. In the background are trees and countryside.
