Abstract:
In this black and white postcard, Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany and his wife pose with a group of children and nurses from the Kaiser-Wilhlem Kinderheim in Ahlbeck, Germany. The Kaiser wears a military uniform with hat and a medal around his neck. The Empress wears a large hat with feathers. The girls are grouped in front in light gingham dresses with dark collars. The boys are in the back in dark uniforms with white stripes on the shoulders. Four women in white nurse uniforms with caps are also in the group.
