Richard J. Dunglison of Philadelphia assisted John Shaw Billings by placing this two-page advertisement free in Dunglison's Ready Reference List for Physicians (1876). Note that Dr. Billings called the collection the "National Medical Library." Appears in A history of the National Library of Medicine by Dr. Wyndham D. Miles, p.77.
