Abstract:
Discusses a letter written by Lieutenant J.M. Garland revealing that he did not agree with the Government but did not wish to bear the disgrace of resigning, and hoped by working in the Ambulance Corps he could help enemy soldiers as well. In view of this, he was dishonorably dismissed.
