Envelope featuring a color illustration of actress Clara Bow in uniform for her role in the movie Wings, 1927. Bow played an ambulance driver in the WWI themed movie. She is wearing a white hat with a red cross, a white coat with two red bars on its lapel and two gold bars on the shoulder, a white shirt with a gold necktie, and a strap with a buckle on one shoulder. There is a small skunk in the top, left corner of the illustration. The stamp on the envelope is the 29 cent Clara Bow stamp issued on April 27, 1994 in San Francisco. The cancellation is from San Francisco on that date and includes the words "First Day of Issue." The text on the bottom right of the envelope is "Clara Bow in 'Wings' 1927." The recto is signed "JPugh" and "40/115" in purple ink.
