Postcard featuring a color illustration of a nurse with a wounded soldier on a battlefield at night. The soldier is sitting partway up and leaning against the nurse. He has a bloody head bandage. The nurse is kneeling behind the soldier. She is dressed in white, with a dark head covering and a red cross on her right sleeve. There is a halo around her head. A cannon and a wagon can be dimly seen in the background, and the full moon is partially covered by a wisp of cloud.
