Abstract:
Black and white photograph of five people arranged around a phonograph. The postmark is Sonyea, N.Y. The sender of the card, who signs his name as "Joe" is seated on the floor with his knees pulled up to his chest. There is a man (Mr. Bixby) seated or kneeling behind him. A woman in a long white dress seated to their right is holding a photograph of a building. In the middle is a phonograph with a large metal horn projecting out. On the table with the phonograph is a clock and a playing card. On a shelf underneath are several Edison Gold-Moulded Cylinders, on which songs or speech were recorded. On the ground in two boxes and a case are more cylinders. Mr. Keith stands next to the phonograph. The three men wear dark suits and neckties or a bow tie. The person identified as Mr. Brewer, a nurse, is seated in front of Mr. Keith and behind the boxes of cylinders. He is wearing a dark uniform with white piping on the outside seam of the pants, around the cuffs and just above the elbows.
