The sender of the card, who signs his name as "Joe" is seated on the floor with his knees pulled up to his chest. There is a man (Mr. Bixby) seated or kneeling behind him. A woman in a long white dress seated to their right is holding a photograph of a building. In the middle is a phonograph with a large metal horn projecting out. On the table with the phonograph is a clock and a playing card. On a shelf underneath are several Edison Gold-Moulded Cylinders, on which songs or speech were recorded. On the ground in two boxes and a case are more cylinders. Mr. Keith stands next to the phonograph. The three men wear dark suits and neckties or a bow tie. The person identified as Mr. Brewer, a nurse, is seated in front of Mr. Keith and behind the boxes of cylinders. He is wearing a dark uniform with white piping on the outside seam of the pants, around the cuffs and just above the elbows.
