One drawing contains the various organs of the human body labeled in Latin, while the facing illustration contains double lines that indicate channels of qi/ki flow in the body, sometimes called acupuncture meridians. These were misinterpreted in the West as evidence of East Asian ignorance of anatomy. Specimen medicinae Sinicae, pls. 1 & 2.
