Presented at the Joint Discussion on the Structure of Natural and Synthetic Antigens at the Second International Congress for Microbiology in London on July 27, 1936. In the article, Heidelberger summarized recent findings concerning the chemical nature of both natural and synthetic antigens as well as their correlating (homologous) antibodies.
