Abstract:
In this letter Heidelberger offered a detailed page-by-page review of three papers by Hershey, in which he developed a mathematical theory of the kinetics--the rate and mechanisms--of precipitin and agglutinin reactions. The letter illustrates Heidelberger's unrivalled knowledge and command of quantitative micromethods in immunochemistry.
