Abstract:
In this article, Sawyer, and his colleague William F. Snow, described the prevalence of venereal diseases among U.S. Army soldiers during the final years of World War I, and how the Medical Reserve Corps and civilian health agencies coordinated efforts to control and prevent the diseases.
