Abstract:
In this article, Sawyer, as director of the State Hygienic Laboratory, discussed how the conditions of modern transport can facilitate the spread of diseases such as diphtheria, cholera, and typhoid fever. He then suggested ways to prevent the spread of such diseases among travelers.
